Why do I have to delete and re-share my shared USB printer after every Big Sur update? Do others have this issue? Is it a feature?

First, let’s make sure that you have the recommended settings to share the printer see the Apple Support article Share your printer on Mac. If you have a HP printer see the Apple Support article If your HP printer doesn't work and you see a warning that HP software '...will damage your computer’. If you continue to have issues with sharing your printer, then you may need to delete the printer and set it up again or reset the Mac printing system see the Apple Support articles Solve printing problems on Mac and Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem.
