CR3 files

When a memory card containing CR3 RAW files is inserted into my iMac running Mac OS Big Sur, the files show up with an Affinity icon in the filename, and automatically open with Affinity. How can this be turned off and show anion of the actual image so I can review all the images quickly. This has only just occurred using CR3 files . CR2 files are ok.

Thanks.

Many thanks for the 'open up' advice - all ok and now opens up in Photoshop. it hasn't however changed the small icon (showing ps) under the picture when opening an sd card using the 'as gallery' view. This means I have to click on each file to preview rather than preview with the small icons as I could with CR2 files, and just scroll through the icon images quickly. (The small icon is present on all 'views')

Did you click and follow through with the Change All… button after changing the application to open the .CR3 files? I don't have Photoshop, and my default viewing application is Preview. I selected Affinity Photo just to get the Change All… button to appear in the following screenshot:

As it turns out, Affinity has its own camera raw library that often supports certain camera raw images before Apple.
