Safari bookmark backup from Time machine

Hi, I've read some of the old discussion chains on this topic, and I can't locate the bookmark file - maybe things have changed. I'm running time machine, and OS 10.15.7. The computer software had recently to be "rebuilt" - hence the loss of old bookmarks.

How can I get my old bookmarks in Safari back from the time machine files?

Thanks in advance !

Salutations IaninGloucs,

We understand that you’re attempting to recover your Safari bookmarks from a Time Machine backup.

Did you migrate your data from your Time Machine backup? In ~/Library/Safari, are you seeing any backups for your bookmarks or a bookmark file that you can restore to your Mac? By any chance were your bookmarks synced with iCloud? If so, once signed back in to your Apple ID and with Safari enabled in System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud, they should sync to your new set up.

Thanks.
