screenshots and links

If someone sends me a text that contains a screenshot, and in that screenshot there is text with a "blue link" in it, is that link still active if I touch it on my screen? I tried to use such a link to join a ZOOM group for my grandson's graduation....not sure what I did wrong...

No, links showing in screenshots are no longer "live" > they do not work because the sender "photographed" or "copied" an entire page. You would need to type out the URL address as shown in another window or tab.

You are welcome - just tell them to copy the URL address and paste it into an email - that way the link is live. BUT;


Be careful - unless you know where you are going (and who is asking you to go thee) - do not click on anything because scammers use that method to get you to click on something which will wind up on their site and they'll ask you to share personal information. Don't fall for it!
