iPhone 12 Bluetooth pairing fails at entering code

I am having issues pairing my iPhone 12 Pro with certain devices. It finds the device and then goes to enter code to pair. Upon entry, pairing fails. Happening on my 2007 BMW with iDrive and my dual marine radio. No problems pairing to 2013 BMW X5 or other BT devices.

Hello tamman,

We understand you're unable to pair your iPhone with two different radios, but you are able to pair with other Bluetooth devices.

Since this is happening with third-party Bluetooth accessories, please see how to Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If you're still unable to pair with these specific devices, please see what to do If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

We'd also recommend confirming you're using the latest version of iOS software and firmware for each device. If you need to update your iPhone to iOS version 14.6, please be sure to create a backup prior to updating. These links can help:

If you're still unable to pair with only these radios, please contact the manufacturers to confirm compatibility.

Cheers!
