My Gmail apparently got infected and I wonder if I delete it what else will I lose? Will all my photos and contacts be erases?

Where are all my gmails. I only have 220 when I signed in today. They are not in the trash or spam What is going on with Gmail? I signed in and only had 220 of my most recent emails. This happened on my iMac. A couple of months ago it happened on my iPhone, but all of them were on my iMac so I just thought it was fluke of an iPhone issue. Help! Some of these were saved from a last year!

email infection I tried to stop a spam email by writing an email, copying and pasting an email address in their email, to get them to stop sending me further emails. However that put my mail application into a loop - whenever I try to darft an email, the screen repeatedly flash the same draft email screen, but not allowing me to type anything. Only way to exit is via Force Quit Mail app. How can I clean this up?

If you delete the Mail account you will "lose" the info on the emails but not photos that have already been downloaded to your iPad.
