WatchOS 7.5 battery drain

New updates both for iPhone and Watch available. Let’s see if the issue is fixed. But even if they will fix it, nothing will bring back the ******* 6-7% battery healt lost in just a couple of months. ********

I honestly believe this is an update issue, not a battery issue, since it only started after the update.

I powered my watch off for several minutes yesterday. The remainder of yesterday and so far today, it’s been ok.

Same with my Series 5. I had around 45-50% battery left when I go to bed before 7.5 and now I have 30-35%. No change in behavior, same Watchface etc. It 100% happened after the update.

Just an intermediate report: using the watch w/o restarting it for 4 days now with the "Infograph" watch face. After 12h still 60% left. Hope this makes is to your stats.

I am on S4, The battery drained from 100% to 73% between 1130PM and 7 AM during sleep hours. I have to charge my watch twice daily.

Day two since I set up the watch as new.

After 5.5 hours down to 75%.

Have not stress tested it yet (used cellular or worked out)

But that’s better than usual.

Same thing for two series 3 watches in my house. Battery was fine until update to 7.5. Nothing has fixed the problem. Some service is running the entire time the watch is on.

Wow! I recently added my spouse to my Apple Card. We both just turned that feature off.

Same here - marked difference in increase battery drain... Downloading 7.6 to see if that helps!

In my early experience, the battery life on Watch OS 8 has been significantly better then 7.X

After a restart still having the issue. What I want to know from all of you: what watch face are you using? I will try to use my watch face that used before the new Pride (the circular one with complications) just to exclude it from being the problem. I will report if this helps.

Same here, restarting Apple Watch SE helps for a short bit, and then it is back to unusually warm temps while running and quick battery drain, which I am sure are hand-in-hand. Basically, I have no idea when the watch will drain quickly and cannot trust it to last the day. Basically a useless paperweight at this point.

For any Apple employee reading these posts, this ONLY started after the watchOS 7.5 update. Prior to the update, I was getting as much as or better than the advertised battery usage of 18 hours. Please own and fix this issue. It is really frustrating.

For sure. But latest iOS version tied to latest WatchOS. Especially unlock phone with watch due to masks connection. Just basically saying they're related. Either way our watch's quick death needs to be fixed. They have to release a .patch soon!

I have a Watch 44 mm with 100% battery health and I’m having the same problem since I updated to OS 7.5. I know it is the update. My watch was fine until the update. Apple must fix this issue as soon as possible.
