WatchOS 7.5 battery drain

Same. If I add exercise into my day I’m having to charge the S6 3 times a day now, before update it was once a day and no where near dead. I’m very frustrated, this update has made the watch a very bad experience. Been a user since the original and this is the worst the battery has ever been in this entire time.

Was perfectly fine pre update to 7.5.

I tried restart and reset and nothing is working to fix it.

Same issue here since 7.5. Nike series 4 bought in December of 2019. Until the update could easily go 14+ hours while doing daily work, working out, listening to music or podcasts. Today I got 3 hrs until I went from 100% to 10%. No new apps, same watch face and complications as always. This is ridiculous!

One week after a restart, and the battery is still good. Normal parameters.

Series 3 GPS, 42mm. No 3rd party apps, background refresh ON for all. "Activiy Analog" watch face with date, workout, weather and timer complications.

Definitely a faster drain than pre-update. Fed up of having to nanny the watch to get through the day as I’m not going to concede and take off to give an interim charge. It’s a Series 5, not a 2008 iPhone so it should perform.

It can sit in my watch box and consider its poor performance until the Apple Watch team work out how to get their act together

It's embarrassing how Apple handles situations like this. They should have at least some employees that face the same bug. Or they could read this long thread. They still behave like nothing happened.

Yes, I’ve had the same issue since the 7.5 update on my series 5. I’ve followed the same charge/use routine since October and always had 20-30% battery left when returning to charger after approximately 24 hrs. Since the update the watch is now at 5-10%. Nothing has changed other than the WatchOS version.

Dear Apple,

Please fix what you broke. Two weeks+ since watchOS 7.5 was pushed out to our watches and consequently broke our watches. WWDC is over, can you get back to making products that "just work"? Right now, my once useful watch is nothing more than a useful paperweight.

Again, see this steep drop Apple? I did not use the watch actively, just wearing it this morning. Could you please recognize this as a huge bug and fix it within days not weeks? It is getting annoying!

I have the same problem with my Series 6 watch. My usage has not changed but now with Watch OS 7.5, the battery drains fast. By 8 pm it is down to 16%. The battery health is 93%, which seems low for a watch that is only 9 months old!

I'm having the same issue on a Series 5 after updating to 7.5. I'll charge the phone to 100% and within an hour it's at close to 90%. Yesterday I recorded a 30-minute workout which caused the battery to run out of juice by 8pm. I hope we get an update to fix this issue soon.

Facing the same issue here. I did a restart of watch & phone - no use.

already apple watches battery is pathetic when compared to other smart watches with this bug, it is simply not usable !!

this is not acceptable for a premium grade device such as Apple Watch. All these things should have been tested before they release the software to masses.

fix this ASAP, apple !!!

Things are getting worse. currently I have to charge my watch twice a day. Setting it up as a new one did not help. I think it will affect battery health very soon (currently at 93% for a 8 month old watch).

See these steep drops? Hate it! Apple should release a quick bugfix.

I am having the problem with my iWatch series 4 since the latest update to 7.5. The batterie charge is about 75% or 60% but the watch switches completely off (shut down as with 1% batterie charge).

Apple, please fix this bug. This is everything but no longer a watch.

For the last 24 hours or so, my watch has behaved more normally. I didn't change anything, which makes me wonder if there was some app update that fixed it. I don't trust it yet since this is the first time since the 7.5 update a couple of weeks beforehand. I have no idea which app it might have been, if it was even an app update that did it. There is a long list of updated apps listed in the App Store.

Yesterday my watch battery drained completely within 8 hours. I charged it when I got home and 6 hours later it was dead again. I also noticed the same pattern on both my iPhones- except those didn’t drain to empty like the watch did- but they lost power to 40% within a short time period. Why and what’s the fix?
