Mac and printer

To begin with, you may want to try resetting the printing system and re-adding the printer.

Check whether the operating system now suggests a suitable driver. If not, see the next paragraph.

A Dec 11, 2020 HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for macOS download from Apple (https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US) appears to have worked better than other downloads in some cases. Perhaps worth a try (look for something like the HP Deskjet 1510 series 2.3.2 driver mentioned in Printer and scanner drivers for Mac – Apple Support).
