Hi there Mossaic,

Thanks for joining us in Apple Support Communities! We understand you're seeing an alert on your iPhone that your iCloud storage is full. After clearing some space, your iCloud storage amounts haven't updated in Settings and the alert still appears. We're glad you're here, and we can provide some guidance.

To start, you'll want to be sure your iPhone is connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network with good signal strength. Then, follow the steps in the support article below to try clearing some additional storage space:

Manage your iCloud storage

Afterwards, restart your iPhone with the steps here:

Restart your iPhone

If the issue persists, let us know which iOS version is listed in Settings > General > About and send over some additional details about how much iCloud storage is available and how much you have used. We'll take a closer look from there.

Cheers.

Mossaic,

Thanks for following up with us. Let's continue working together to sort this out. As it stands, you'll need to clear additional storage space in order to back up your iPhone to iCloud. Alternatively, you could upgrade your storage plan. Have a look at this link to learn how:

Upgrade your iCloud storage plan

Also, we'd suggest updating to iOS 14.6 with the steps here:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Take care.

I have an IPhone 11 sophware version 14.4.2

The problem is continuing to persist. I have 5GB of storage on my icloud. I recently had around 5,000 photos on my device. I went through and got the number down to about 900 photos now. But still my storage status looks like this unchanged. I cannot back up my iphone now because of this.
