This is worst, I cannot edit the number I copied on keypad

I can copy and paste the number on the keypad, after that if I want to add country code in the beginning this ****** phone doesn't support it, This should be a simple function I am literally wasting some time, I know you can tell me copy and edit somewhere and paste it in keypad, Why can't this IOS software support this simple feature, if anyone is aware how can I edit or append country code, please let me know!!!
