photos loading

when I take photos they do not load in the photos app and I cannot open them in any other apps. anything I can do to fix this? I got my phone only a week ago.

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 14

They should appear in the Photos App and may be there under a different album. Check and see. If not, with a new phone I would go back to the store and let them check it.
