How can I get these pop up captions off my screen?

Large captions pop up on my screen when my cursor lands on something. How can I get that to stop. It's driving me crazy. Just started today, and I don't know how or why?

Captions disappearing Issue. Hi everybody. I have a strange bug while im editing the captions on my timeline. When i delete a caption then all the other captions are disappearing. Then i have to click on show captions button twice to make them appear again. Since i can not assign Show captions button to my keyboard its very annoying. I have created my captions with simon says app. Is there anybody out there who can help me with this issue? PS: Maybe apple can allow us to assign the button of show captions soon. Thanks a lot.

How do I turn off captioning? How do I turn off captioning? On my iMac I somehow turned on something (I'm guessing in "Accessibility") that generates a text box underneath any text on the screen, probably to make it easier to read small text. I can't figure out how to turn it off, or what I did to turn it on. Rebooting didn't make it go away.

Go to system preferences, see if Accessibility is turned on. You may have tuned it on by accident…
