Auto sleep/awake cover issue

Hi, good day everyone

I just get my ipad pro 2020 a week ago and today i bought a case for it. And realise that the screen is not turning off when i close the cover , then i went to the setting to turn this function on. But still its not working , I borrowed an offical apple case from my friend to try it but its not working too.

Is my ipad broken or there is a way to solve this issue
