Easily. Have your wife get her own Apple ID instead of sharing yours. Apple IDs are personal; they are not intended to be shared, any more than you would share a toothbrush. Many bad things will happen if you share an Apple ID; this is one of the less invasive ones. Once she has her own Apple ID set up family sharing so you can share things you want to share, and not share things you don’t want to share→What is Family Sharing? - Apple Support
