Expiration Limit:

I'm not so certain about an "expiration limit". Where are you seeing this? Can you provide a screenshot? Go here: Take a Screenshot on your iPhone - Appel Support. Bescertain to black out personal information (names, etc.) but covering it with rectangle through use of the Photos app.

It doesn't mean it's used but you probably bought it from a store that isn't an Apple authorized retail seller. The expiration date started when they bought the phone.
