Soap opera effect on new Apple TV 4K hdr 60

I just unboxed my new Apple TV and upgraded from old Apple TV HD.

but I’m a bit disappointed with the picture.

Don’t get me wrong it’s sharp and smooth on my 60” Samsung 8000 series tv that does 4K HDR and 60Hz.

but it too sharp at times…. Movies look like soap operas and are way too sharp.

the old Apple TV did not have this issue? I would assume this is a setting somewhere. But what is the setting?

I like my 4K and HDR but the overly sharp image gotta go.

‘Soap opera effect’ usually describes a visual effect caused by motion interpolation. That is a TV setting, not a setting on the connected Apple TV box. Please see your TV manual to turn motion interpolation off.
