Help!!! Macbook 12" black screen when turned on

How to fix? When I tried to connect it to an external monitor, it opens with a desert screen.

MacBook Pro 2016 has a blank screen I have a 2016 MacBook pro with a blank screen. Thinking it's just another Flexgate problem, I installed a brand new screen, which also comes up blank. External video works OK. On neither the new screen nor the original one do I see icons when the screen is illuminated with a flashlight. This tells me there is neither backlight nor any video signal going to the screen. My question is can there be video going to the external monitor with no video going to the internal screen? And, if so, what's the problem? And I already changed the video cable from the logic board to the display, and reset SMC and PRAM. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

MacBook Pro Won't Recognize Display (Both Internal and External) Hello, My Macbook Pro (mid 2014, 15 inch) screen just went black. It was working in the morning, took it out of its case this afternoon and nothing. The Macbook is running, because I can hear it and the back Apple light displays. Internal display stays black, and hooking it up to an external device also shows nothing. I tried the following steps, nothing worked: - SMC reset - Force shutdown - Rebooting countless times (with and without the external monitor plugged in) I also did the test with the flashlight, no image at all. Totally black. I did a lot of research online, but I can't find anyone else unable to view on an external monitor. Thanks!

Blackscreen issue I Tried everything.... hey guys I need help... When I use my macbook pro late 2013 there are times that when I turn it on it works perfectly fine but after some use lets say for like an hour to three hours and I decide to restart it it suddenly boots up into a Blackscreen. I tried to reset the NVRAM/PRAM and I also tried an SMC Reset as well and lastly I tried to reinstall OS but it would still boot up into a Blackscreen. But there are times like I wait a day and all of a sudden it would boot up normally.. Do you think the macbook has a problem with the connections or is this a temperature issue? I asked someone and he said it might be a GPU problem but when I connect my macbook to a external monitor it works fine.
