I would not even bother putting any more money into this old iPad.

The iPad Mini 2 will be an 8-year old iPad this year, in 2021.

Not worth the costs of a screen repair.

Apple stopped full support of this year and iPad model in 2019.

Third party app developers are going to stop supporting this 8-year old device by sometime in 2022.

It's 2021 now!

Use that repair money towards a new iPad purchase of a new iPad model OR a much, MUCH “newer” and less expensive, refurbished or used iPad models, from better known, trusted Apple product/device retailers/resellers, locally or online, on the Web/Internet, capable of running the latest iPadOS versions.

There are PLENTY of newer, older iPad models that can run the latest, current versions of iPadOS.
