I recently updated my iPad Air2 to iOS 14.6, and when I attempted to open an older app, I got a message that the app needed updating. I have been unable to get the app updated; therefore, I need to undo the iOS update to get info from the app that I created within it. I will then redo the iOS update to 14.6. How can I do this, safely?

You cannot. And even if you could (again, you cannot), it would be the wrong approach.

So that’s the issue. What happens when you try? What messages do you see? What signs of success? Of failure? Update from what versions of the app and iPadOS?
No way to revert back to a previous iOS/iPadOS versions.
Apple has no procedures for downgrading back to a previous iOS/iPadOS version.
Apple iOS/iPadOS upgrades/updates are one-way only. UP NOT down.

I have the same problem. The app has been canceled and they are not updating it anymore. I have to get into it to get my information out.
I have checkbook app. I did get the newer version this morning but I cannot retrieve my info from the older version to the newer one. Bummer
