Actually you have 2 little problems.

  1. 81% it’s considered ( ready to replace battery ).
  2. When new iOS comes out, they usually have improvements, that actually need a healthy battery, so thats why you see the difference, because battery it’s no longer healthy.

Usually replacement battery for iPhone 6s are around 40$ i think, no sure about it.

i had the same problem with my iPhone 6s after installing ios 14.6. Apple support recommended a forced reboot (holding down both, the home + power buttons, different for other iphones) until the apple logo shows up. This really fixed the draining problem. What I noticed after the reboot, the phone did not ask for the SIM card’s pin code. It did not forget it.

I think this explains the problem, because my iphone 7, which does not have a SIM, did work just fine after the ios 14.6 installation.

So, if your phone has a SIM card, try a forced reboot.
