iCloud drive does not update after deleting files!!!

i have a 200GB subscription for icloud. I have deleted a great amount of files. The iCloud drive (Get info) shows 49.27GB used data - That would be around 150GB free space. The available amount of free data space is showing 31GB though!? I have tried everything...! such as sign out/sign in. It just does not work!!

Hey again, thanks for that. So at iCloud.com > iCloud Drive > Recently Deleted (On the bottom right), is also empty

I do see a lot of local documents using much storage on your Mac, but if only local should show up at iCloud.com, etc.

If the trash as well on your Mac and recently deleted files on your iOS devices are empty, I would call Apple Care. It may be an account issue that requires a fix on the back end. They may have other solutions or suggestions as well, but that’s what it sounds like to me, best of luck!

Hey bswiss!

I’d follow those articles tygb posted above. Likewise, can you say what you see for the available iCloud Storage here?:

System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.

What does it say is using most of the storage here?

Likewise, does this storage match what you see on your other devices, and at iCloud.com?

Checking the Trash, or Recently Deleted on all devices and at iCloud.com > iCloud Drive > Recently Deleted, may fix the problem as well.

If it’s just the Mac reporting the storage incorrectly, that may be another problem, but otherwise, there’s usually a logical reason for the data storage, and if so, the articles posted above should lead you to the problem. Cheers!

No worries. What does it say is using the rest of the iCloud Storage? (Photos, Backups, Contacts, etc.)?

Or are you saying in iCloud settings, iCloud Drive alone is using all that space, and not anything else? And that Finder says otherwise? (E.g. “Get Info”)?

If you are able to, could you take a screen shot of both iCloud > Manage Storage, and Finder > iCloud Drive > Get Info, and even the Apple logo > About This Mac > Storage, that may help to clarify the situation.

(You can press Shift Command 3 to screen shot the whole screen, or Shift Command 4, to drag and shape the screen shot to show only what you want). Thanks again, happy to help out if I can as anyone here.
