Find My IPhone: MacBook Pro Stolen

My MacBook was stolen on Friday. I went into find my iPhone immediately to deactivate it and “mark it as lost”. There has been no activity or notifications until I check this morning (Monday) and now it says that it was locked yesterday at 11:52pm. What does this mean? Has the thief attempted to log in too many times? My MacBook is password protected and deactivated. Also, any helpful tips on how to track it down? I have filed a police report.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2
