What is the best all-in-one printer for the MacBook Pro Big Sur 11.4? Epson printer 4760 not compatible.

My new Epson ET-4760 all-on-one printer does not seem to be compatible with my 16 inch MacBook Pro Big Sur 11.4 operating system. I feel like I have tried everything (deleting and reinstalling.)

Any suggestions?

What is the best, most compatible all-in-one printer inkjet for the Big Sur 11.4?

Thanks for any help.

If your Epson ET-4760 is networked, either wired/wirelessly, it is compatible with macOS 11.4 using Apple's built-in AirPrint drivers, and would not need any software or drivers from Epson. AirPrint does not support USB connections unless the device is hanging off an AirPrint compatible print server.

If your configuration meets the first paragraph, power on the printer and visit System Preferences > Printers & Scanners panel, and control-click on the ET-4760 entry. Choose Reset printing system… from the secondary menu. This will remove the device from the panel, show it detected by Apple's Bonjour service, and then allow you to re-add the device by selecting AirPrint as the driver choice.

The best printer is one that meets all your printing needs. Paper size, two sided, feed location, speed, color, black and white, etc. We have no idea what your printing needs are except the printer needs to work with your Mac. Dozens of printers work with Macs. Find a printer that meets your needs then check with the printer manufacturer to see if they provide drivers for your Mac.

Thank you for trying to help. I followed all your steps, and the printer worked for printing out two different pages and then on my effort to print a third page, it stopped. This has happened repeatedly. A little green box appears on the printer icon on the Mac's dock. And when I click on printers and scanners, the horizontal lines keeps going back and forth ad infinitum.

Thanks for your suggestion. I had tried that repeatedly and it did not work but I did contact Apple Care and the tech suggested I use the IP form of the printer with AirPrint and for now, it is working.

I do appreciate your email. Let's hope it continues to work. When I first installed the printer it had worked initially and then stopped--kept pausing automatically. So I am not completely optimistic yet.
