Logitech MX Master 3(for Mac) and Steel series BT mouse: No scroll , Back/forward buttons inop after while

Hardware:

MBP 13" 2020 M1 (bought 3 month ago),  Logitech MX Master 3(for Mac), Steel series BT mouse, j5create Triple Screen Dock

System config/OS Ver.:

16GB Ram, 1TB Emmc/SSD

Big Sur 11.4

Issue:

Both mice are not functioning properly;

  • Mouse wheel not scrolling in Safari
  • Back/Forward Buttons are not operating (instead of going pack a page they open a new tap)
  • Thumb Wheel not functioning
  • Mouse movement Lag

What did I try to fix it!

  • Remove and re-install Logi Options
  • Returned mouse and exchanged with same Make and Model
  • Tried alternative BT mouse (Steel Series)with same occuring issue persisting
  • Shutdown/Reboot
  • Unplug Dock/Charger
  • Unpair and Re-pair
  • Having mouse connected via Type-C to Type-C cable to Laptop

What is the closest thing to fixing this issue?

Reboots will fix this issue for a certain timeframe, re- occurring same day after one or more Sleep Stages. Sometimes even a day later....a sporadic occuring but still persisting issue.

I am aware that this is a common issue according to this and the Logitech Support forum (Google etc)

Looks for me kinda like a hot potato with the exception that it's with every Bluetooth mouse.

Hmmm.. here’s the Big Sur stuff for your j5 create dock:

https://en.j5create.com/pages/drivers

and for your steel series mouse

https://steelseries.com/engine#downloads

and for your Logitech MX Master

https://support.logi.com/hc/en-ca/… it does mention Big sur and if you’re having problems with their stuff… they suggest you should upgrade to the latest version of logitech Options. Two mice? Wow… impressive.. both mice should show up under system prefs—> mouse.. and you should be able to set scrolling… also, seeing as how they are both Bluetooth.. they might be picking up interference.. maybe change your Wi-Fi network to operate on the 5ghz band rather than the 2.4 ghz one( system prefs—> network—>wifi—>advanced)

good luck to you

This doen't help. One mouse is connected at a time. I only tried the second mouse to verify that it's not a HW issue. The LogiOptions and the reg. settings are in order. This is a knowing issue. I tried to be as detailed as possible. If it would be a settings thing the mouse would work or would not work proper. Plus I also mentioned that I removed and re-installed the Mice software accordingly.
