Unable to Delete the News app on a Mac

Hello,

I can't delete the News app on my Mac. This is the Apple News app.

Is it possible to delete the Apple News app on a Mac?

I tried clicking and holding it in the Launchpad, but an "X" never appeared on it and other apps like Stocks, Music, Books, Podcasts, etc.

It would be nice if we were able to delete apps we don't use.

Can the News app be deleted in Terminal?

Apps that come preinstalled with the OS cannot be deleted,

just ignore it if you don't use it, they only take up a few megabytes of disk space.

You can not delete the News app in the normal means.

If you MUST have it off your system, Google "macos delete news app". It should be the first link displayed and requires many hoops to jump through.

I personally would just leave it alone and simply not use/ignore it.
