My iPod touch volume it's not loud enough

I just bought a new iPod touch and it’s not as loud as my old one which is an MC540BT/A and about 10 years old 🤷‍♀️

So, you’re playing it through another speaker? Correct? Because I don’t see how that could make a difference. You could try restarting the device. (https://support.apple.com/guide/ipod-touch/force-restart-ipod-touch-iphcb2aa6139/ios)

also, try updating it. (Open settings, press general, and press software update. The update the software.) then, you can try updating apps (open App Store, press your photo in the top right, then once in the next menu, drag down from your name and photo to refresh, and press update all.)

if this doesn’t work, then I am out of ideas.

You could try trading it in just in case it’s messed up. But I think that better sound quality comes at a bit of a cost. And in this case, it would be volume. But I think that if it’s too quiet for you, then you could try a Bluetooth speaker. But I trust that you will make the right decision. (And when I say trade it in, I mean trade it in, and buy the same thing. Ask for a refund)

but, if you are using it through a music system, then you could try messing with settings on that, or just messing with volume. Good luck!
