Can't add contacts on my iMac

When I try to add a new contact, I'm following the instructions in Contacts Help. It allows me to open a new, empty contact but as soon as I start entering information, it goes back to my contact card and lists 2 "No Name" entries at the end of contacts. I can add them on my iPhone and, of course, they sync to my desktop but I'd like to be able to enter on either. Thanks!

I had this issue and used the following to fix the problem:

  • In Contacts open Preferences
  • Click Accounts Tab
  • Select Google on left pane
  • Uncheck the box for allowing Google.

Then try adding a contact and it should work fine. It's obviously an issue with Google.
