I have a bunch of photos in my "Hidden" album. I'd like to categorize them by theme, so I can work with one set of hidden photos (eg, of confidential docs like income statements) without revealing other hidden photos (eg, like baby's birthday-suit photos). I've tried troubleshooting but so far no luck. Does *anyone* have a solution? And if not, Apple: can you please make this happen?!

The only way to do this is with keywords and smart albums.
Categorise your hidden folders with keywords (eg "confidential docs"), then create a smart album with the two "and" conditions:
keyword - is - "confidential docs"
and
photo - is - hidden
When you want to hide them again, just change the keyword in the smart album to something that doesn't exist.

Thank you so much Tony, but that seems convoluted and not how I pictured the solution to my needs.
I think Apple simply needs to step up to the plate, and allow for hierarchical folders to exist within its Hidden photo album feature.
