“Hide My Email” generated address is not forwarding my emails.

I used “Sign in with Apple ID” on the platform NextDoor, but to make changes to my account, they require that I input my password. Because I’ve used “Sign in with Apple ID”, there is no password. The only option I have to make any changes to my account is to reset my password, but when they tell me to check my email for a link, my “Hide My Email” generated address is not forwarding any emails to me, despite this forwarding option being turned on.
