When trying to write a note I click on my ipad with my pen so that notes opens up but now the keyboard keeps popping up instead of me being able to draw/write with it, the apple pencil won't work unless I click on the button that closes the keyboard, I browsed through the settings but couldn't find anything to change it. It used to work perfectly so I'm really baffled.

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with the built-in keyboard appearing when using your Apple Pencil. Have you checked to see if the Scribble feature is turned on? If not, here's how and more information about the feature: Enter text with Scribble on iPad

You're very welcome. Let's keep digging! Turn off Scribble, then Restart your iPad and then turn the Scribble feature back on to see if that helps.
