Battery health- iPhone 12

Bought the iPhone 12 when it was released. Battery health always read 100% until a little over a month ago. After the last update for 14.6 it went down to 98%. I don't have anything extra on at all and I don't play games on the phone. Just a little troubling that maybe the battery is starting to fail early or did the update cause something to affect it. Any answers would be welcome. Thank you.

Battery health does not always display a drop in a linear fashion. If you bought the iPhone 12 last September and it's at 98%, your battery is just fine, even a little better than average. If it drops below 80% while under warranty, it will be deemed to have failed prematurely and will be replaced by Apple.
