Choose Preferences from the Finder menu, click on General, and check the box for them.

It is recognized by the iMac because it shows as an USB drive on my System Info and also shows on my TechTool Pro app. What can I do to make it show on desktop so that I can use it? Thanks !

iMac usb port I have a new iMac 24" M1 2021 and bought adapters for the USB ports. I attached a flash drive to the port with the adapter. The flash drive does not appear on the desktop. I looked at Finder settings and did not see an option to show flash drives. How can I open the files on the flash drive?
