input media button missing-PLEASE HELP ME!

MacBook Pro with macOS BigSur and have Garage Band 10.4.3 installed. The media button for importing songs is missing. I have read that you simply find the file and drag the file into the track section. But this isn't working for me. The song file is .m4p. I noticed that isn't one of the listed file names they mention on Apple. Im not sure how to covert the file (if I really need to) to be able to import a song. Im trying to cut and slice a song from my Music app. Please help!!!

The Media Browser is no longer available in Garageband 1.4, a pity, but we have to find our songs now in the Finder to import them.

You may not be able to use a m4p file in Garageband or any Apple software at all, if it is a protected song. The m4p extension is typically used for purchased songs with a protection. Does this song show as protected, when you look at the file info in Apple Music or iTunes?

Yes the current song file downloaded from apple music does show as a protected song file.

The goal: to take 3 songs and slice them into becoming one song for a dance routine. How to to this?

Do I open 2 tabs. 1st tab is to youtube google the song on the internet , copy url address, and then paste that url address into 2nd tab which will be a m4p to m3p converter site?
