I am not receiving monthly challenges on my Apple Watch

Starting in April of 2020 my apple watch stopped notifying me of monthly challenges. When I open the Fitnes app on my iphone the activity section is dim. Yet it shows my workouts.

The Trends section is mostly empty because it claims it doesn't have data on my walks, stand and move activity.

I have tried restarting both watch and phone where you hold the buttons till the apple logo shows up.

Last week I upgraded both the watch (v7.5) and my iphone 6s Plus (v14.6) to the latest OS but no luck.

I made sure all the data is shared between the devices.

Hey there, amroyounes,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. If we understand, you are not seeing Activity data reflected accurately in the iOS Fitness app. Instead, much of the data is missing, areas are greyed out, and there are no stats, even though your workouts seem to have logged. We'd be happy to help!

Based on what you've described as happening, and what you've already done to troubleshoot, we would recommend next making sure the date and time settings on your watch's companion iPhone are correct, and set to "Set Automatically": Set the date and time on iPhone - Apple Support.

If this setting is correct, please unpair your watch from your iPhone: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support, then set it up again:  Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support.

Best.
