Preventing large files from going to iCloud

Can Apple create an option to just tap at that long video you have and set it to NOT upload to iCloud?

Or to prevent a whole folder from uploading?

I have work pictures and videos that are eating up my storage.

Storage restrictions on iCloud + I currently upgraded my iCloud storage to 2T. Yesterday while creating albums and uploading images/videos, I received a message stating my videos that were above 100MB would not be stored. Is there a different area where I can store this files in iCloud. For example, can I store them in iPhoto within a a folder rather than an album? Does iCloud storage delete my original files after backing them up? After paying for iCloud storage, I realised that the videos I used to have saved on my macbook pro now need to be downloaded from the cloud before I can open them. Does the iCloud storage service always delete the original files from a device after backing them up to the cloud? Is there any way to disable this feature, so I can keep my originals and not have to spend extra data to download them every time I need them? Thanks in advance!

How do I stop storing in iCloud? How to turn this function off? Somewhere I clicked something related to iCloud storage and it started to store everything from my laptop onto iCloud. Naturally it ran out of space. I do not want to buy more storage, I just want to manage storage. I only want to store photos in iCloud. How to turn this function off? Thanks.

You may be able save the videos and photos to the On My iPad/On My iPhone location and then delete them from iCloud. Once they are stored in the On My location, you always have access to them even without WIFi or a cellular connection.
