Trying to stop 2 phones syncing

I have both work and personal iPhones set up on the same Apple ID. Until recently everything was great and work phone contacts didn’t sync with the personal phone so I was able to keep both separate.

recently every new contact on my work iPhone has started syncing with my personal iPhone and iPad and all messages. Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this happening?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

If you are syncing Contacts and other data to iCloud on all your devices, what you enter on the work phone will sync to the personal devices.

If you want to keep every thing separate, you might want to consider using a different Apple ID for your work phone.

Apple ID - create a new.

Apple ID – Create

Family Sharing.

Family Sharing - Set up.

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. Also set up Family Sharing between the IDs to keep access to your apps/purchases.
