Disk almost full on my MacBook Pro 2016.

I have 116.38GB of "other" in my storage and only 2.3GB of storage available on a drive with 250.69GB. I don't want to cu out the 70GB off photos or 1.66GB of Documents, 12.49 of Music or 7.95GB of Applications. How can I get rid of or manage this "other"

What most experienced users do in this situation is to move their large libraries of:

  • Photos
  • Music
  • Movies

to external HDs. Apple even tells you how to do this in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201517, the process is very similar for Music and Movie libraries. Personally I use the OWC Mercury Elite Pro for storing these libraries due to the high quality, reasonable price the service the vendor provides. You can save all the libraries on 1 EHD.
