Family Sharing separate payment methods

Family Sharing should allow for members to buy their own subscriptions using their own payment method, credit card not just gift cards. We just noticed that subscriptions to productivity applications switched to billing our credit card when we started using Family Sharing.

Besides turning off share purchases, is there a way to allow them to purchase their own subscriptions via their Apple ID?
