My iPhone 8 was in my pocket while swimming, went below three feet for more than thirty minutes... (I forgot it was in my pocket) I took it out and it wont turn on. I heard rice wasn't the best solution so I left it out overnight to dry, doesn't turn on still. Will apple fix my phone from water damage? About how much would this cost?

Water damage is not covered by any warranty.
The putting your phone in rice is a myth and does nothing but waste the rice.
No, Apple will not fix your phone.
You will have to buy a new phone.
Thanks, yes I know that rice isn't a great solution as it only absorbs the water it touches and the rice powder or whatever gets in all the nooks and crannies of the phone eventually ruining it... Thanks for the reply and answering each of my questions (this wasn't my phone, actually was my friend's)
