Air Drop Not Working On Iphone 12

Hi,

I am trying to send a file from my iPhone 12 via Airdrop, but I am getting a message saying "No People Found. there is no one nearby to share with.". My AirDrop is on and set to everyone. My WiFi and Bluetooth are also on. When I am trying from my Macbook air to send a file to my iPhone 12, it is working properly and I am able to receive a file. On my Macbook Air, The Airdrop is on and set to everyone. The operating system on my Macbook Air is Big Sur, and the operating system on my iPhone 12 is IOS 14.6.

I have tried resetting my network and repeated the whole process again, but no luck. Still, I am getting the same message.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're unable to AirDrop from your iPhone 12 to your MacBook, but you're able to AirDrop from your MacBook to your iPhone.

Do you have any VPN software enabled on your iPhone? if so, does disabling the software help?

Try restarting both devices before trying again.

Thanks for your help!. I had the VPN running up and I tried again to reshare by turning it off. It's now working.
