To free space, do I need to delete photos from my phone or from iCloud?

Apple is not going to send you such a message. So, here is what to do...

A. Clear Temporary Internet Files:

Clear your Temporary Internet Files (Cookies & Cache) of Safari:

• Cookies perform remembrance of certain site-entered data.
• Cache keeps a snapshot of the last time you visited a site.
• Go Here: Clear the History and Cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch - Apple Support

B. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Forward this eMail to Apple using this eMail address: reportphishing@apple.com. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what should be looked at.

C. Modify your Credentials:

Did you interact with this eMail in any way whatsoever(i.e. clicking links)? If not, then you are all set where you stand - there is no need to modify anything. However, if you did interact with it, then consider modifying your credentials, starting with a new password.

• Modify: your login credentials (Using Both a New eMail and a New Password for each and all sites)
• Associate: a different method of payment to your account
• Enable: Two-Factor Authentication for Apple ID and for all other accounts that have such an applicable option
