When I try and send a voice message on my iPhone 7+, in iMessage there is a delay of around 3 seconds before my audio starts recording. I’ve checked my microphone and it works perfectly fine in other apps and I don’t have a problem elsewhere with voice messages. I have also tried restarting my phone but this hasn’t worked. This has been an ongoing issue for me since I got the phone. Any solutions??

Does this occur when using both Wi-Fi and cellular?
Let's make sure your device is update to the latest available version:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Also, are you using any headphones? If so, try disconnecting them to help isolate the issue.
