CarPlay Maps navigation view zoomed in?

When I am using navigation in Maps on CarPlay to drive from city A to city B, during my trip, Maps shows the entire geographic span of the trip. I’d prefer to see a zoomed in view so I can see what is ahead (similar to what you see when you are NOT in navigation).

is there any way to change this? Seeing the marker triangle when my trip is 130 miles and that entire span is on the screen isn’t very helpful.

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14
