Music downloads disappear

I live in a very rural area and so downloading Apple Music songs is key if I want to listen offline. Recently, my songs have been “undownloading” I will download them and the next day they are still in my library, but no longer available offline.

Here’s what I’ve tried:

•reinstalling the app

•hard restarting the phone

•downloading on different wifi networks

•signing out and back into iCloud

•downloading new content with the “download purchases” toggled both on and off

None of these have resolved the issue. Ideas?

Are you low on storage space? It sounds like the Music app might be trying to save available space on your iPhone with optimized storage.
