I purchased my MacBook Air M1 2 months ago, I have completed 57 charge cycles and my battery health is reduced to 98% even though I have been charging it in the perfect battery cycle between 30%-80%
, never over 80 nor below 30, Why is this happening even after such care of battery.
will letting MacBook always on power with 100% affect battery health even 1% ? I doubt !

Batteries are considered Consumable Products. Over time it will degrade to a point where it needs to be replaced. In you case - the usage is normal as the capacity will go up and down all the time and never stay always at 100%. Apple Batteries are rated for 1000 Full Battery Cycles and / or 80% Capacity before needing Evaluation or replacement.

ive send it to apple and they swaped my battery for a new one.
I have used M1 Macbook Air for 6 month. It is 99% for 30 cycles. I use more than 15 hours a day. I use plugin to power all the time and one a week I Shut Down mac and use battery until 10%.
3times I have contacted them and they say it is normal
If possible to get it replaced, then i think you should go for it. In Pakistan, unfortunately, there is no official Apple store to get a warranty claim.
I have a mbp m1pro 14” and after 30 cycles my battery is at 98% of life
yes mine too
just after 21 cycles the battery health is at 98%, it took 2 months for 1% and 1 week for another 1%
and i always keep it plugged to power source to reduce charging cycles
it's been correct 5 months now, charge cycle is 105 and my battery health is decreased to 94% now from 98%. At this rate the MacBook life seems very small.
I will update you guys time to time about this issue.
My Air M1 has 39 loading cycles and and battery health at 91% after 9 month usage.
send it in on monday, repair is finished but i dont know what they have done.

I am really worried. Mine is 3 weeks old, 8 cycles and battery health at 95,1 %. This is outrageous if you ask me. It drops almost one percent every time i charge it. I never leave it plugged in and never go beyond 30%
it's around 50 cycles, and it's only 89% capacity now! It's not sustainable if i run ios simulator + xcode + android simulator , vscode (backend) + chrome with a few tabs opened + 1 youtube video -> which would drain battery significantly! So It's better if you keep it's charging when building sth i guess
Sometimes we can only trust big companies doing the right thing like Google cloud charges me $0.01 without me knowing until Bank notified me and i contacted them, then there support says related person used the card is contacted but i received no message/email lol.
it costs around $300 (20% of M1 air price lol) to replace the battery for my i5 this year, not sure about M1 but Try to avoid using battery when you heavy applications or using lots of Cpu
Give them a bit of time to optimise stuff and trust to optimise stuff soon :))
I am at 94% battery health with only 56 charge cycles. Contacted Apple customer support 2 times already and they both told me the same thing "The battery seems to be working just fine ". That is absurd !! Can someone help me..?
Guys, I came here because mine is at 95.2% and only has 20 charge cycles. I purchased my M1 MBA in June, so it's only 4 months old and the manufacture date is May 2021. I sold my older Certified Refurbished Mid 2014 MacBook Pro Retina (bought in 2015) with more than 90% after 6 years of use and 280-ish charging cycles. I can't believe this is normal behavior.
