MacBook Air m1 battery reduced to 98%

I purchased my MacBook Air M1 2 months ago, I have completed 57 charge cycles and my battery health is reduced to 98% even though I have been charging it in the perfect battery cycle between 30%-80%

, never over 80 nor below 30, Why is this happening even after such care of battery.

will letting MacBook always on power with 100% affect battery health even 1% ? I doubt !

it's been correct 5 months now, charge cycle is 105 and my battery health is decreased to 94% now from 98%. At this rate the MacBook life seems very small.

I will update you guys time to time about this issue.

Any update Geordiedude? My battery health finally dropped to 99% after 53 cycles, and now after 54 cycles it dropped to 98%, ha!

I saw in the recent macOS 12.3 update "Battery capacity readings have improved accuracy" and thought to myself maybe this whole issue was just a software glitch that Apple has now fixed; but that was before my battery health dropped to 99% and then promptly to 98%, so I guess not. My 1-year warranty is already expired at this point, so I'll just hope for the best!

I bought my Macbook air M1 almost 2 month ago. Condition: Brand new. Cycle count reached 21 and my battery percent is now 96%. The first battery drop happened after around two weeks since i bought my mac. And since on, battery keeps dropping. But in usual case, at least 20 cycle should have caused a 1% battery drop only! I basically follow the rules regarding right care of battery, but does not help. Is it normal??

Well, what did you send it in for? They won't do the battery automatically unless they need to remove it to get to something they need to repair OR if it's the battery itself that you sent it in for of course. But yes, if they have to remove the battery to get to another component like the trackpad or remove the logic board they'll replace the battery since it's in the way so to speak and is also glued in (adhesively). You'll see an itemized list of what they did when you pick it up.

My 3 month old M1 Pro 14" 10-core has 22 cycles on it and is at 97% capacity which is kind of concerning. I have Applecare and all that so no big deal but it should be at -3% capacity after only 22 cycles either....hmmmmmm

Interesting...

My 3 month old (actually 2.5 month) M1 Pro 14" 10-core 16GB/1TB has 22 cycles on it and is at 97% capacity which is kind of concerning. I have Applecare+ so no big deal but should it be at -3% capacity after only 22 cycles? Seems Seems like it should still be at full capacity at only 22 cycles and 2.5 months...hmmmmmm
