Whenever I plug headphones with a headphone jack adapter dongle the keyboard makes a static sound. Is there a fix?

Whenever I plug headphones with a headphone jack adapter dongle and use the iPad screen keyboard I hear a static noise while typing, also the keyboard sounds turn “washed” and low, but as soon I start playing any video or music is suddenly fine the keyboard starts to sound as expected only if there is media playing.

I adore the sound feedback while typing, is there a fix?

I’ve restarted the device and made sure the ports are clean, also I tested said headphones and adapter with other devices (android phone and pc) and they work just fine.

iPad Air, iPadOS 14

Hi Cyan69,

We understand you're experiencing some problems with your headphones while they're connected to your iPad, and we want to help out. To clarify, are you using the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm adapter to connect the headphones? Also, which headphones are you using? It sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting on your own, and this will help us isolate the problem a bit more.

Best regards.
