installing windows 7 on Macbook Pro with M1 chip

As Parallels support only Win 10 - I tried to install it on UTM but it didnt go through - it is stuck after last phase.

any luck on installing Win 7 ??

No Intel operating system can run on the M1

chip, natively or virtually.

There have been some QEMU attempts via emulation

instead of virtualization but the results have been poor

and slug slow and not of any real use.

No. There is no ARM64 version of Windows 7.

You can install only Windows 10 ARM insider (beta) version. It may not provide 100% function but it is worth a try.
