Is there a way to access my original DNG/Raw files on my Mac without iCloud downloading all the originals to my machine?

Because of space restrictions, all the pictures on my Photos app are stored on the cloud. I just want to edit a single raw file in Lightroom, but there doesn't seem to be a way to access the DNG file from the Photos app without having iCloud download all the originals to my machine.

If I try to export a single image or edit in photoshop, the Raw file just opens as a jpeg. I really need a way to download/access the single, original DNG file from the cloud.

When you export a photo from Photos and want to use the original RAW file, use the command "File > Export > Export unmodified original". This should export the unmodified PNG file, not a jPEG. I would enable the check mark "IPTC as XPM" as well to export the original with a sidecar file with all metadata. This way

Lightroom should be able to apply all metadata you added to the original.
